Flat first, floor second
LVP is thin and it telegraphs everything under it. Leveling is not an upsell here, it is the reason the floor still looks right in year three.
Luxury vinyl plank is the floor most Columbus families end up choosing, and for good reason: it is waterproof, it takes a beating from kids and dogs, and it goes places real wood should not. We install it the way it is meant to go down, which starts with getting the surface under it flat.
What is included
This is what sits inside the number we quote for luxury vinyl plank. Hold it next to another bid and the difference will be obvious.

Around here
Almost every house in Central Ohio has a basement, and a basement slab sits on clay that holds water. That is why vinyl plank has taken over down there, and also why it fails when it is installed like a bedroom floor. Below grade we check the slab for moisture first and use a barrier rated for it. Skipping that step is how you end up with a floor that smells musty in July.

Why us for this
LVP is thin and it telegraphs everything under it. Leveling is not an upsell here, it is the reason the floor still looks right in year three.
Basements, kitchens, mudrooms and laundry rooms. The rooms that ruin a wood floor are exactly where this one belongs.
If a seam separates or a plank lifts on our install, call us and we come fix it.
How it works
We look at what is under the floor, especially on a basement slab, and measure the space.
Leveling, barrier and transitions are all named as lines, not hidden in a square foot rate.
Old floor out, slab or subfloor cleaned, patched and leveled where it needs it.
Planks racked for a random pattern, expansion gaps held, then trim and a walkthrough with you.
FAQ
Usually 3 to 5 days including tear out and prep. Leveling a bad slab can add a day, and we tell you that at the estimate, not halfway through.
Yes, and it is the best choice for most Columbus basements. What matters is the moisture check and the barrier under it.
Click lock is faster and floats over minor imperfections. Glue down is more stable in big open runs and in heat. We pick based on your room, not on what is easier to install.
Almost always no expansion gap at the walls, or a subfloor that was never leveled. Both are fixable, and both are worth looking at before you replace the whole floor.
The plank is. A spill sitting for a week can still get to the seams and to what is underneath. It handles real life, not a flood.
Yes, within about 30 miles: Dublin, Westerville, Gahanna, Reynoldsburg, Grove City, Pickerington, Hilliard and the rest of the metro.
